About Us

The Oldham County Schools Arts Center is a vibrant cultural and educational resource located in Crestwood, offering visual and performing arts programming for students of all ages and skill levels. While it is owned and operated by the OC Board of Education, OCSAC serves not only District students, but also the community at large. OCSAC was opened in 2004 and is housed in the former Crestwood Baptist Church building.

Program highlights include visual art classes for all ages, Adult Ceramics, private music lessons, Suzuki Strings, OC Youth Choir, Leadership & Performance for Strings, Early Childhood Music, OCSAC Dance Academy (ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre dance and acro), Oldham County Youth and Community Theatre, holiday clay workshops, art-themed birthday parties and summer day camps for Grades K-12.

Oldham County Youth Theatre, Oldham County Community Theatre and the award-winning Oldham County Performance Troupe (OCPT) present 16 ticketed performances per year. Several free concerts, performances and events are also offered for community enrichment by OCSAC groups annually.

OCSAC is home to the Creative and Performing Arts Academy (CAPAA), an accredited program of the Oldham County Schools where public school students receive specialized instruction in musical theatre, string orchestra, technical theatre or visual art during the school day.

The South Oldham Rotary Club meets at OCSAC Fridays at 7:30am.

The Arts Center Foundation is a nonprofit arm, supporting fundraising initiatives for student scholarships including the annual Future of the Arts Gala.
