Here's more about 'Non Chalante':

Accordian Duo: Non Chalanté
Ray Ihlenburg has played accordion since tenth grade, celebrating six decades of squeezing the box. He specializes in ethnic music: Cajun, Irish, French, Latin, Slavic and Italian, with pretty song melodies and tunes to dance to, since ninety percent of accordion music is written for dancing. He plays lots of songs and tunes folks have heard before, and some they haven't. He says the most fun he's had playing music has been since meeting Laurel last fall at Bellarmine University's Irish Festival, when he began adding traditional and Bal Musette French music to his repertoire.

Laurel Fuson, the other half of Non-Chalante´, has played piano since she was 7, but did not start playing the accordion until she heard it being played for Scottish Country Dance and New England Contra Dance music in the early 1980s. She was smitten and soon taught herself to play and thereafter formed a Scottish Country Dance band called Scots Measure. They played for dances all over the mid-west for around 7 years. She then put the accordion away for about 15 years, but started playing again about 5 years ago, first with a traditional Irish band in Louisville called My Darling Asleep, and then for the last three years with Keltricity, a Louisville band that plays tunes and songs from a broader Celtic tradition. She really loves French accordion music and is so happy she found Ray to share those tunes with, as well.
