Saturday Jul 20, 2013
Our quaint town comes alive early Saturday morning the 20th with festivities beginning at 7:00 a.m. with the Rotary Club sponsoring an all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast at City Hall. Musical entertainment on any of the three stages begins at 8:00 a.m. The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and don't be surprised if the parade has to break to allow a train to pass! ONLY in a few towns across America does there exist, the charm of railroad tracks running through it! You will find many vendors situated around our Courthouse, a food court, and a variety of live entertainment throughout the day. The highlight of the day is the annual Tug Of War between the police and firemen. A Wild West duel with gunsmoke that went over excitingly well the past two years, is included as an event for this year, too. The Living Statues are back again and provide great interest! And to end this exciting day the City of LaGrange will again sponsor a free "Dancing in the Street" where the Allen Lane Band will play from 5:00 - 11:00 p.m.
