Classes cost $60.\n\nIncluded in the registration fee is The Write Plan\, by Lynn Tincher and a copy of Elements of Style by William Strunk and E.B.White.\n\nThe Write Plan will help you stay organized\, focused\, on task\, and consistent in your facts during the writing process.  It will organize your thoughts\, story line\, characters\, locations\, and ideas in a developmental style that serves as a handy reference guide as you tell your story. Commitment forms are included to help you stick to your plan\, style\, and deadlines. It will help guide you on your way to success while keeping you motivated during every step.\n\n"The Elements of Style" was written by E.B. White in the 1950s. It is a revised and expanded version of a booklet used by his English professor William Strunk Jr. in 1919. During the years since its publication\, the book reached the fourth edition\, modernized and more suitable for the times (and the changes in language).\n\nThe book answers some of the most common doubts in writing English text:\n\n1. Correct usage of punctuation: commas\, colons\, semicolons\, dashes and periods.\n\n2. Possessive singulars of nouns ("Charles's book")\n\n3. Using the active voice\, positive form and definite\, concrete language for making a point effectively.\n\n4. Pairs of words that are commonly confused: among/between\, inside of/inside\, shall/will\, that/which\n\nWeeks 2-6 will begin with readings from the previous weeks writing prompts.
