DESCRIPTION:An historical marker will be dedicated on the campus of the Oldham County History Center in La Grange to mark the circa 1840 home of James & Amanda Mount. The Mount's were local slave owners during and after the antebellum period in Oldham County. The home now contains the J.C. Barrett Library & Archives (office) of the Oldham County History Center. Holdings include many slave related documents. The holdings of the Archives was placed on the National Park Service National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom program in July 2016.
