SUMMARY:Healthy Living and Giving Health Fair
DESCRIPTION:On October 7th\, CityPlace Expo Center will host the 3rd Annual Healthy Living and Giving Health Fair\,  sponsored by Baptist Health La Grange. The event was designed to accomplish two goals. First\, to increase visibility and educate attendees about health care options\, health providers and health services in our area. The second goal is to collect canned goods for HighPoint Charitable Services. As you may know\, HighPoint serves hundreds of client families every month to help with food sufficiency. With Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner\, HighPoint relies heavily on contributions to help more Oldham County families avoid hunger and enjoy a happy holiday season.\n\nNew  this year is the "Build the Bank" event. This is a two-part challenge. First\,  local companies are being asked to collect cans at their places of business between September 1st and October 1st. Then\, teams that represent these organizations come to CityPlace to use those cans to build a sculpture that represents the theme of Healthy Living. Health Fair attendees can pay $1 to vote for their favorite sculpture. All event proceeds and cans collected will be donated to HighPoint.
